SEMS provides evaluations of
systems, departments and initiatives at the state, district, and local levels. The
first step in conducting evaluations is developing a performance measurement system.
For those systems that already have a comprehensive measurement system in place, we
can proceed directly with our evaluation service. Our evaluation team provides policy
makers, funding sources and the public with an objective, complete and rigorous view
of performance in instructional and non-instructional departments, helping restore
public confidence.
Performance Measurement
As school system funding is increasingly tied to performance, we believe that performance
needs to be more broadly defined. The purpose of performance measurement systems,
